Job Description

Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Intern – 496. Location: Broomfield, CO or Brooklyn Park, MN (On-site)

Quantinuum is seeking a motivated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Intern to support our teams in Broomfield, CO, or Brooklyn Park, MN; This position offers the opportunity to contribute to workplace safety, sustainability, and compliance efforts while gaining hands-on experience in the quantum technology sector.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of HSE programs, policies, and procedures.
• Collect and analyze HSE data to identify trends, with a focus on sustainability and continuous improvement;
• Maintain and update HSE documentation, including safety data sheets (SDS), training records, and risk assessments.
• Support HSE audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Participate in incident investigations and maintain accurate HSE records.

Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, with graduation on or after 2026.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, green card holder, or individual with asylum/refugee status);
• Must not be a People’s Republic of China or Russian national unless also a U.S. citizen (due to U.S. national security requirements).

Preferred Fields of Study: Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management, Engineering, or related fields.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Basic understanding of OSHA, EPA, and relevant HSE regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills;
• Ability to manage multiple projects with a proactive approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Previous internship or work experience in HSE is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly rate: $27 to $32 (Non-incentive eligible).
• Housing stipend: Up to $1000/month for candidates relocating from outside the state.
