Quantinuum is a quantum computing company started in 2021 by merging Honeywell Quantum Solutions and Cambridge Quantum. It builds both the hardware and software for quantum computers, including high-performance trapped-ion quantum systems and tools like TKET and InQuanto for applications such as quantum chemistry, cybersecurity, and materials science.
The company is privately held, with Honeywell owning a majority share. It has raised large investments (over US$600 million in recent rounds) and is valued in the multi-billion dollar range. Its teams are spread across the US, UK, Germany, Japan, and it’s expanding globally through joint ventures such as with Al Rabban Capital in Qatar.
