SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager

Job Description

Job Title: SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager. Location: United States (Remote or Broomfield, Colorado)

Responsibilities:

• Lead preparation, review, and filing of SEC reports including 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and proxy statements
• Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, US GAAP, and internal control requirements (SOX 404)
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial disclosures;
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and SEC regulations and update reporting processes accordingly
• Conduct technical accounting research for complex transactions such as revenue recognition, equity, leasing, and acquisitions
• Develop and maintain accounting policies aligned with best practices;
• Provide guidance and training to junior team members and stakeholders
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency in SEC reporting workflows

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in public accounting and/or high-tech industry finance roles
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and internal controls
• Experience working with external auditors and cross-functional finance teams;
• Ability to manage deadlines, multiple priorities, and high-accuracy reporting requirements

Preferred:

• CPA certification preferred
• Strong technical accounting research and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Workiva
• Ability to explain complex accounting issues to non-finance stakeholders

• $128,000 to $160,000 annual salary range
