Quantum Client Delivery Lead

Job Title: Quantum Client Delivery Lead. Location: Tokyo, Japan

Responsibilities:

• Lead ongoing quantum computing engagements with enterprise clients, identifying high-impact use cases and developing and executing utility-scale prototypes on IBM's quantum systems to prepare clients for future commercial adoption.

• Build and strengthen client relationships, establishing IBM Quantum's expertise and market leadership with key stakeholders.

• Deliver high-quality outcomes through a consulting-oriented approach and rigorous project management.

• Lead client delivery teams to fulfill contractual obligations and meet client expectations;

• Achieve high client satisfaction, targeting a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 9 or 10.

• Communicate IBM's competitive value proposition using knowledge of quantum computing, industry-specific applications, emerging technology markets, and the competitive landscape.

• Monitor project progress, status, and overall health, reporting to clients and IBM's Delivery Excellence organization.

• Identify risks proactively and resolve issues through clear action plans.

• Provide feedback on client experiences, offering assets, accelerators, and delivery methodologies to support continuous improvement.

• Help develop case studies, client testimonials, and evaluation statements for go-to-market activities and joint client promotion;

• Manage staffing and utilization according to the delivery resource model planned for the Quantum Accelerator offering.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree required. A doctoral degree is preferred.

• Strong foundational knowledge of quantum computing and its application to business use cases.

• Extensive knowledge and leadership experience in project and program management.

• Strong experience leading client delivery engagements and managing client relationships.

• Scientific or technical background, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders ranging from project teams to senior executives.

• Familiarity with advanced classical computing approaches to business problems and an understanding of use cases suitable for quantum computing.

• Excellent planning, facilitation, communication, and consulting skills;

• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively in teams.

• Advanced business-level Japanese and fluent business-level English.

Preferred: Previous experience participating in quantum computing projects.
