Business Development Lead​, Hyperscale Networking

Job Description

Job Title: Solution Business Development Lead, Hyperscale Networking. Location: Palo Alto, California, USA

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop customers, partners, and ecosystem relationships across hyperscale, AI infrastructure, network OEM, and telecommunications markets.
  • Lead early co-design engagements with customers before their requirements are finalized.
  • Own RFI and RFP responses from start to finish, including technical content and commercial positioning.
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable product requirements;
  • Represent the company in relevant standards and consortium activities where interface specifications are developed.
  • Build and maintain a competitive market view, including competing products, capabilities, and supporting evidence.
  • Maintain pipeline forecasting and the commercial narrative for business reviews.
  • Help position the company's quantum networking solutions for future customer adoption.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in business development or technical sales involving networking or data center hardware.
  • Proven design-in wins with hyperscale, cloud, or large network OEM customers, rather than channel-volume sales.
  • Working knowledge of fabric architecture, including leaf-spine networks and scale-up versus scale-out architectures.
  • Understanding of where cost and power are concentrated within networking infrastructure.
  • Experience shaping customer requirements rather than simply responding to existing requirements.
  • Comfortable selling a product that is still being defined.

Salary:

  • Zone 1, Bay Area and NYC: $154,900 to $182,000 per year
  • Zone 2, including Los Angeles and Washington, DC: $139,400 to $163,800 per year
  • Zone 3, including Austin, Chicago, and Sacramento: $123,900 to $145,600 per year
  • Zone 4, including Nashville, Phoenix/Tempe, and many remote locations: $108,400 to $127,400 per year
  • Actual compensation depends on qualifications, education, training, experience, geographic location, business needs, and internal equity.
