Job Title: Senior Quantum Field Engineer - Singapore

Location:

• Singapore
• Travel: 40%

Responsibilities:

• Lead customer-facing technical discussions, demonstrations, and discovery sessions covering quantum computing, networking, security, sensing, and space applications.
• Translate customer business needs into technical projects and work with the Applications team to map quantum algorithms into application code.
• Develop and execute proofs of concept for customer use cases.
• Work hands-on with Python and quantum SDKs to prototype, adapt, and explain existing quantum algorithms;
• Guide customers from early-stage ideation through technical exploration, proof of concept development, and potential production workflows.
• Collaborate with sales, product, applications, marketing, developer relations, business development, and engineering teams.
• Share customer and market insights with internal teams.
• Support conferences, events, and quantum awareness activities across Singapore and the wider APAC market.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role such as field engineering, solutions architecture, technical sales, customer engineering, or applied science.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or another relevant STEM field.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Qiskit, Cirq, or another quantum computing SDK.
• Practical experience with existing quantum algorithms and their application to real customer problems;
• Strong technical communication skills and the ability to adapt explanations to different levels of technical knowledge.
• Ability to build customer trust, address competitive objections, and work across commercial and technical teams.

Preferred:

• Master’s or PhD in a relevant STEM field.
• Experience delivering customer proofs of concept from early exploration through working code.
• Industry experience in financial services, bioscience, chemistry, materials, or optimization.
• Executive presence and experience representing a company at client meetings, events, and conferences.
• Broader software architecture experience alongside quantum computing expertise.
