Job Description

Job Title: Quantum Hardware Researcher. Location: Singapore

Responsibilities:

• Launch, maintain, and operate an on-premises Helios quantum computer as part of a specialized team
• Manage and monitor hardware subsystems such as lasers and ion transport systems
• Plan and execute operational procedures for quantum computer performance and stability
• Remotely operate cloud-based quantum systems as part of a global team;
• Mentor and support junior engineers in technical and operational tasks
• Communicate technical concepts clearly in written and verbal form
• Support international collaboration and occasional travel for training and operations

Qualifications:

• PhD in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
• Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience (including PhD experience);
• Strong background in atomic physics, quantum computing systems, or similar complex hardware environments
• Experience working with or operating quantum computing systems or advanced laboratory systems
• Ability to meet security and export control requirements

Preferred:

• Experience with lasers, laser cooling, atom trapping, cryogenics, and ultra-high vacuum systems
• Experience with analog and digital electronics in laboratory settings
• Strong Python programming and data analysis skills
• Experience in physical modeling and experimental system control
• Track record of research output such as publications or patents;
• Experience in international or remote technical collaboration
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Established professional network in quantum or advanced physics research
