Scientific Project Manager

Job Description

Job title: Scientific Project Manager - Quantum Computing. Location: Singapore

You will report to the regional Scientific Leader, managing the full project lifecycle from pre-sales to delivery; This includes client engagement, planning, and execution while helping advance groundbreaking work in quantum science.

Duties:

• Lead and deliver multiple scientific projects while acting as the primary project manager and client contact.
• Serve as the main interface between clients and scientific teams, aligning project goals and ensuring clear communication.
• Develop and implement project management tools for tracking activities, resources, and milestones.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project scope, resources, and deliverables;
• Attend and lead meetings, ensuring discussions are focused and outcome-driven.
• Track key milestones and communicate any updates or risks to stakeholders promptly.
• Execute and control project activities, manage risks, and maintain thorough documentation throughout.
• Work with other managers to refine tools and processes for improved efficiency;
• Gather and organize information across departments to support informed project recommendations.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Data Science, Machine Learning, Physics, Mathematics, Quantum Computing, or a related field.
• Experience in a scientific project management setting, either from academic research or industry.
• Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMI, or APM) is a plus;
• Experience in software development using Python or C++, possibly gained through research.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and maintain attention to detail;
• Proven problem-solving mindset and ability to get results.
