Job Description

Job Title: Quantum Scientist - Content and Education (Hybrid). Location: Toronto, ON, Canada

This role combines quantum science knowledge with strong communication skills to promote learning, outreach, & community building.

Duties:

• Produce clear and engaging content on topics such as quantum machine learning, quantum chemistry, quantum error correction, and quantum programming.
• Write tutorials, demos, blogs, guides, documentation, and webpages for both technical and non-technical audiences;
• Develop technical documentation for open-source software libraries to ensure they are easy to understand and use.
• Collaborate with development, research, product, and marketing teams to create high-quality educational content;
• Assist in designing educational materials using multiple formats including text, images, code examples, and interactive challenges.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field.
• Experience in quantum computing or quantum science;
• Comfortable working with Python and quantum software libraries like PennyLane.
• Strong ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated interest in education, outreach, and community engagement.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Graduate degree or experience with additional quantum software (e.g., Qiskit) is preferred;
• Familiarity with the broader quantum computing ecosystem and experience with social media or SEO is a plus.
