Job Description
Job Title: Technical Product Planner – Quantum Systems. Location: British Columbia, Canada
Responsibilities:
- Act as the main interface between government customers and internal engineering teams
- Translate contract objectives into actionable product plans and technical requirements
- Lead requirements gathering, validation, and change management across programs
- Define product roadmaps across hardware, software, and system architecture;
- Align milestones, KPIs, and success criteria with contractual and performance goals
- Coordinate technical communication, reviews, and external deliverables
- Manage dependencies and identify execution risks early in development cycles
- Establish benchmarking frameworks and performance evaluation standards;
- Communicate program status, risks, and trade-offs to executives and stakeholders
- Contribute to long-term quantum product strategy and platform development
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Optics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in product planning, systems engineering, or technical program delivery
- Strong understanding of quantum technologies, semiconductor systems, or photonics
- Ability to connect system-level performance with product outcomes and delivery plans
- Experience working in cross-functional engineering and product environments;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and executive audiences
- Experience working in milestone-driven or contract-based environments
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with quantum computing, photonics, or spin-qubit systems
- Experience in system benchmarking and performance validation frameworks
- Exposure to government or regulated technical programs
- Experience presenting in high-stakes technical reviews with senior stakeholders
- Familiarity with cryogenic systems or integrated quantum hardware platforms
