Field Engineer: Cryogenics & RF Hardware

Job Description

Job Title: Field Engineer: Cryogenics and RF Hardware. Location: Bangalore, India

Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced cryogenic and RF systems used in quantum computing hardware
• Ensure reliable system performance in a production-like environment
• Own and manage cryogenic infrastructure including system stability and operations
• Perform RF hardware validation and debugging of complex system issues;
• Work closely with physicists, engineers, technicians, and customer stakeholders
• Handle cross-disciplinary debugging across RF, vacuum, cryogenics, and electronics systems
• Maintain detailed documentation including Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures

Qualifications:

• Background in Physics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent industrial experience)
• Hands-on experience with dilution refrigerators (required)
• Experience with sub-Kelvin cryogenic systems
• Experience with laboratory or industrial high-availability equipment;
• Experience assembling and maintaining scientific or electro-mechanical systems
• Familiarity with vacuum systems, helium leak detection, and vacuum debugging
• Strong attention to documentation and technical communication
• Experience working with vendors, partners, or customers

Preferred:

• Field deployment or on-site engineering support experience
• Programming or scripting experience in Python or similar languages
• Experience with statistical methods such as DOE or Six Sigma;
• Experience working in R&D hardware environments
