Job Description

Job Title: Hardware Development Engineer, Signal & Power Integrity (f/m/x). Location: Ehningen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and integrate innovative hardware solutions for server boards, processor modules, and validation hardware supporting IBM Z, POWER, and Quantum platforms.
  • Take ownership of hardware solutions from concept and architecture through implementation and validation.
  • Model, analyze, and optimize high-speed interconnects for signal integrity;
  • Perform electrical modeling of power delivery networks for enterprise-class systems and high-current processors.
  • Develop electrical solutions for single-chip and multi-chip modules using advanced packaging technologies.
  • Support hardware bring-up, measurements, and failure analysis.
  • Explore, develop, and adopt AI-assisted engineering workflows for design, verification, analysis, and development.
  • Collaborate with global development teams and colleagues across the U.S., Israel, and India.
  • Work using Agile and Design Thinking methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, high-speed design, and circuit design.
  • Knowledge of electromagnetic simulation methodologies;
  • Familiarity with PCB technologies and materials.
  • Experience with PCB design, modeling, and simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS, CST, Keysight ADS, Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, or Altium.
  • Programming experience, preferably Python.
  • A proactive and self-driven approach with a strong commitment to teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German.

Preferred:

  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools, coding assistants, or workflow automation.
  • Experience relevant to hardware development, electrical design, signal integrity, power integrity, or advanced electronic packaging.
