Hardware Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Hardware Engineer. Location: Goleta, California, USA

Responsibilities:

• Identify hardware flaws, analyze technical risks and trade-offs, and implement corrective solutions
• Evaluate hardware designs against product requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope
• Optimize complex hardware components for performance, power efficiency, reliability, and cost
• Use simulation and measurement data to predict hardware design outcomes and support engineering decisions;
• Review and approve hardware designs, resolve testing issues, and compare measured performance against expected results
• Document hardware design, implementation, testing, and validation throughout the product lifecycle
• Perform system-level analysis to improve testability, reliability, and overall system architecture
• Debug, triage, and perform root-cause analysis of technical issues
• Analyze data to identify workflow gaps and develop effective technical solutions
• Apply expertise in optics, sensors, audio, or digital signal processors to hardware development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience with system-level hardware analysis, architecture, and design trade-offs
• Experience debugging and resolving complex hardware issues;
• Experience analyzing technical data and developing engineering solutions
• Experience managing the complete hardware product lifecycle, from development through maintenance and delivery

Benefits and Compensation:

• Annual base salary: $201,300 to $231,000
• Target bonus of 15%
• Equity package
