Job Description
Job Title: Industrial Engineering Intern - Fall 2026. Location: Bromont, Québec, Canada
Responsibilities:
- Support one of two manufacturing optimization projects based on business priorities
- Analyze and optimize production workflows using the People, Process, and Technology framework
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of operational, technical, and support teams
- Gather user requirements and identify skill gaps and training opportunities
- Assist with change management activities and knowledge transfer planning
- Map current manufacturing processes and observe shop floor operations;
- Identify inefficiencies, waste, and non-value-added activities
- Analyze information, material, and decision flows to improve operational performance
- Design optimized future-state manufacturing processes
- Evaluate manufacturing systems and identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, and system integration
- Analyze operational data to support business decisions and assess AI applications
- Define and monitor KPIs, measure performance improvements, and estimate business benefits
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and improvement recommendations;
- Collaborate with industrial engineering teams, manufacturing personnel, and technical experts
- Present project progress and validate findings with end users
- Participate in continuous improvement workshops
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations and Logistics Engineering
- Strong interest in manufacturing optimization, shop floor operations, and technology adoption
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of Lean, Agile, data analysis, and data visualization concepts
Preferred:
- Curious and analytical mindset
- Strong presence in manufacturing environments
- Structured approach to solving complex problems
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences
Benefits And Compensation:
- Annual salary: CAD $61,625 to CAD $87,000

- Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident due to Controlled Goods Program and ITAR requirements
