Senior EDA/CAD Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Senior EDA/CAD Engineer. Location: Palo Alto, California, United States

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support design databases, ensuring data integrity and version control
• Install, configure, and support foundry PDKs
• Develop automation tools using Python, Perl, and Cadence SKILL;
• Own and maintain the custom IC design environment for schematic and layout teams
• Support CAD tools such as Virtuoso ADE, ADS, HSPICE, and Verilog/SystemVerilog flows
• Improve and maintain cloud-based design infrastructure and workflows
• Collaborate with vendors to evaluate tools, resolve issues, and enhance usability
• Build infrastructure for new semiconductor and photonic process technologies;
• Troubleshoot and resolve design environment issues to ensure team productivity

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of VLSI design, CMOS layout, and MOSFET behavior
• Experience with version control and design data management systems
• Programming experience in Python, Perl, and Cadence SKILL;
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Passion for supporting engineering teams and improving design workflows

Benefits And Compensation:

• U.S. base salary range: $120,000 to $130,000
• Bay Area salary range: $160,000 to $185,000
• Eligibility for equity and full benefits package;
