Job Description

Job Title: Systems Yield Engineer, Quantum AI. Location: Goleta, California, USA

Responsibilities:

• Specify, design, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and thermal test fixtures for component, sub-assembly, and system testing.
• Develop new test methods for both room-temperature and cryogenic environments.
• Drive comprehensive testing to characterize the yield and reliability of critical components and assemblies.
• Develop innovative test methods and custom fixtures for different testing environments;
• Partner with software and hardware teams to ensure test and yield data remains traceable and accessible for rapid decision-making.
• Work with multiple Quantum AI teams to keep test coverage updated as hardware capabilities rapidly advance.
• Perform data analysis to support new tests and root cause analysis.
• Work with internal hardware teams and vendors to establish pass/fail criteria and automate test analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field such as Optics, Sensors, or Audio/DSP, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience with electrical testing.
• 3 years of experience using statistical and data analysis tools.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience with data visualization libraries such as Plotly or matplotlib.
• Experience contributing to and collaborating within a shared codebase.
• Experience with cryogenic testing.
• Familiarity with PCB design principles;
• Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals.
• Familiarity with electrical noise and measurement sensitivity.
• Proficiency in data analysis using Python, JMP, ReliaSoft, or similar tools.

Benefits and Compensation:

• $132,000 to $189,000 USD annual base salary.
• 15% bonus target.
