Chip Test Technician

Job Description

Job Title: Chip Test Technician. Location: British Columbia, Canada

Responsibilities:

• Align chips for test and measurement
• Execute test scripts to meet test and analysis goals
• Develop and document test and measurement processes and procedures;
• Define automation requirements to improve test station productivity and repeatability
• Define and align acceptance criteria for test stations and methods with Test and Device Engineering teams
• Analyze results, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues
• Push continuous improvement to systems and processes
• Develop standard operating procedures

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Electronics, Computer Systems Technology, BSc, MSc Physics/Engineering, or other relevant discipline
• Hands-on experience with automated measurement systems
• Knowledge of optics and fibre/free-space optics;
• Strong understanding of test instrumentation
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and written communication skills
• Good organization, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail

Preferred:

• Experience developing automated data acquisition, test, and analysis scripts
• Programming experience in Python
• Experience with electrical/optical measurements
• Experience with cryogenic systems

• Base annual salary range: 78,100 to 107,400 CAD
