Chip Test Technician

Job Description

Job Title: Chip Test Technician. Location: British Columbia, Canada

Responsibilities:

• Align chips for test and measurement.
• Execute test scripts to meet analysis goals.
• Develop and document test and measurement processes and procedures.
• Define automation requirements to improve test station productivity and repeatability.
• Establish acceptance criteria for test stations in collaboration with Test and Device Engineering teams.
• Analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and diagnose problems;
• Drive continuous improvement of systems and processes.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Electronics, Computer Systems Technology, BSc or MSc in Physics/Engineering, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with automated measurement systems.
• Knowledge of optics, including fibre and free-space optics.
• Strong understanding of test instrumentation;
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

• Experience developing automated data acquisition, test, and analysis scripts.
• Proficiency in Python programming;
• Experience with electrical or optical measurements.
• Familiarity with cryogenic systems.
