Job Description

Job Title: Functional Verification Engineer. Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Responsibilities:

  • Develop verification plans, environments, testbenches, and test cases for server processors, SoCs, and ASICs
  • Perform system-level and unit-level functional verification activities
  • Verify processor core architectures, microarchitectures, and instruction set implementations
  • Work closely with design teams to identify, debug, and resolve logic design issues;
  • Ensure verification coverage goals are achieved and quality standards are met
  • Develop expertise in verification tools and methodologies used for processor validation
  • Verify cache coherency, network-on-chip architectures, memory hierarchies, and interconnect fabrics
  • Develop and maintain complex testbench environments and verification scenarios
  • Drive verification coverage closure and support product development milestones;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the verification lifecycle

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in processor, SoC, or ASIC verification
  • Strong knowledge of computer architecture, processor design, and instruction set architecture
  • Experience with core architecture and microarchitecture verification
  • Experience with system-level and unit-level verification methodologies;
  • Knowledge of cache coherency, network-on-chip, memory hierarchy, and interconnect verification
  • Experience with AXI, AHB, ACE, ACE-Lite, CHI, or similar coherency transport protocols
  • Experience leading at least one complete processor or SoC verification cycle
  • Strong programming skills in C++, SystemVerilog, and scripting languages such as Python or Perl
  • Knowledge of UVM, OVM, VHDL, and Verilog;
  • Experience with Linux or Unix environments, Git repositories, and CI/CD workflows
  • Experience developing test plans, test strategies, and verification environments
  • Strong debugging, failure analysis, and verification coverage closure experience

Preferred:

  • Experience with stress testing and corner-case scenario identification
  • Strong understanding of computer system architecture and microarchitecture
  • Experience with IP integration and SoC-level verification
  • Knowledge of software design patterns and programming best practices
