Job Description
Job Title: Intern, Quantum Applications. Location: Daresbury, England, United Kingdom (Remote)
Responsibilities:
- Develop quantum algorithms to solve real-world problems in chemistry, materials science, and fluid dynamics
- Optimize subroutines in fault-tolerant quantum algorithms
- Compile quantum algorithms into logical gate sets;
- Apply architecture-aware optimizations for photonic quantum systems
- Perform quantum resource estimation for scalable systems
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or completed a postgraduate degree in quantum computing, quantum algorithms, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience with programming languages such as Python
- Familiarity with collaborative tools like Git;
- Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Preferred:
- Experience in quantum circuit compilation or fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Background in quantum algorithms or related research areas
