IT Operations Specialist

Job Description

Job Title: IT Operations Specialist. Location: Sydney, Australia

Job Type: Full-time, permanent, on-site

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end helpdesk operations and ensure timely resolution of IT requests
• Manage global endpoint fleet including provisioning, de-provisioning, and security compliance
• Administer cloud services and identity access management systems across the organization;
• Maintain and optimize on-prem infrastructure including servers, networking, and VPN systems
• Evaluate IT vendors and manage external service providers for cost-effective improvements
• Build and maintain IT roadmap, identify technical debt, and improve system scalability;
• Ensure IT systems follow security-first practices including data protection and compliance standards

Qualifications:

• Experience in IT operations, systems administration, or infrastructure management
• Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles
• Experience managing macOS and Windows endpoints using MDM tools;
• Hands-on experience with service desk systems and IT asset management
• Strong networking knowledge including server and network troubleshooting
• Experience working in secure environments with compliance requirements

Preferred:

• Experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with Jira Service Management (JSM) or similar ITSM tools;
• Experience working with global compliance and export control frameworks
• Strong communication skills across distributed teams
