Job Title: Quantum Software Intern - Backend Execution Environment for Quantum Workloads - 2027. Location:

• Ehningen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

• Hybrid work arrangement

Job Type: Internship, fixed-term

• Daytime schedule

• Travel requirements: Up to 40%, or 2 days a week, depending on project requirements

Responsibilities:

• Extend and improve the local developer experience, focusing on coding agent sandboxing and harness engineering.

• Improve backend performance and scalability.

• Simplify and modernize backend architectures.

• Enhance system observability and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.

• Hands-on experience with at least one programming language, such as Rust, Python, or Go.

• Basic knowledge of Docker and containerized environments.

• Good written and spoken English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Preferred:

• Master's degree.

• Experience with agent sandboxing technologies, such as NVIDIA OpenShell or Docker Sandbox.

• Familiarity with coding agent frameworks and harnesses, including OpenCode and Pi.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes environments, such as K3s or Minikube.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.

• Experience with Bazel build systems.

• Understanding of event-driven architectures.

• Experience implementing observability solutions using OpenTelemetry.

• Knowledge of distributed systems concepts and architectures.

• German language proficiency at B1 level or higher.
