Job Title: Senior Quantum Engineer - System Characterization. Location: Redmond, Washington, United States

Job Type: Full-time (Hybrid, 3 days per week in office)

Responsibilities:

• Characterize the performance of integrated cryogenic control systems interfacing with quantum devices
• Design, execute, and analyze measurement campaigns to evaluate hardware and system performance
• Develop and improve measurement techniques for device-level and system-level characterization
• Collaborate with ASIC designers, electrical engineers, qubit measurement engineers, and theorists to optimize system design
• Analyze, document, and communicate characterization results and technical findings
• Verify that integrated cryogenic control systems meet performance requirements and specifications
• Contribute to a collaborative and innovative engineering culture

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years, Master's degree with 4+ years, or PhD with 1+ years of industry or research experience in Physics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience with low-noise electronic measurements, cryogenic techniques, RF or microwave measurements, and electrical transport characterization
• Experience programming in Python for data acquisition and analysis
• Experience measuring semiconductor qubit or quantum dot devices
• Ability to work in an AI-first environment and use AI tools for hardware and software development
• Ability to meet Microsoft security screening, background check, and export control requirements

Benefits And Compensation:

• Annual base salary of $119,800 to $234,700 across most U.S. locations
• Annual base salary of $160,200 to $261,000 in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area
• Eligible for additional benefits and compensation based on company policies

• Less than 25% travel required
