Job Title: Control Electronics Engineering Manager, Neutral Atoms, Quantum AI. Location: Boulder, Colorado, USA

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Own board-level and system-level design of custom electronic systems used to control neutral-atom quantum processors.

• Lead cross-functional teams in evaluating control system requirements and developing suitable board-level solutions.

• Collaborate with other board and system-level designers and external vendors;

• Drive complex and initially undefined board-level projects from concept through production and deployment.

• Lead the testing and bring-up of developed electronics.

• Support the deployment of electronics to quantum computers.

• Work with experimental teams to support the use of developed electronics in quantum computing systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• At least 8 years of experience in analog, digital, or mixed-signal design;

• At least 8 years of experience in system, RF, or FPGA control architecture.

Preferred:

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience designing and building electronic quantum control systems for neutral-atom or trapped-ion quantum computers.

• Experience leading development projects from specification discovery through implementation and deployment.

• Experience managing individual contributors and vendors.
• Understanding of board-level system and subsystem design practices across relevant disciplines, including:
  • Analog and mixed-signal (AMS)
  • Radio frequency (RF)
  • Field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA)

• Familiarity with relevant electronic design tools.

Compensation:

US: $188,000–$274,000

Additional compensation and benefits include:

• 20% target bonus.
