  • Initial temporary international training assignment: Burnaby, British Columbia, for up to 180 days

Responsibilities:

  • Support dilution refrigerator cooldowns and warmups, including system preparation, payload installation and removal, line purges, valve operations, thermometry checks, and cooldown monitoring.
  • Assist with resistance measurements, microwave system trace collection, and basic quality checks.
  • Accurately record cooldown data, payload information, system configurations, and state changes in LabOpsHub.
  • Perform first-pass troubleshooting and assist with routine maintenance alongside the Team Lead and Lab Infrastructure management;
  • Coordinate with Sample Prep & Packaging, Controls & LabOps Tools, and other partner teams to support payload readiness, data capture, and laboratory throughput.
  • Help establish Florida laboratory operations by documenting workflows, improving procedures, and applying practices learned during the Canadian training assignment.
  • Follow approved procedures and safety requirements, take ownership of assigned tasks, and appropriately escalate technical or operational risks.
  • Provide cross-team operational support during the Florida laboratory ramp-up.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of demonstrated practical skills and applied technical knowledge, including 2 years of hands-on technical experience.
  • Experience working with laboratory instrumentation, experimental hardware, or another technical operating environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
  • Ability to consistently follow detailed procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities;
  • Ability to work increasingly independently after completing training.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and develop hands-on cryogenic operating skills.
  • A degree or technical diploma in engineering, physics, or a related field is valued but not required.
  • Experience with cryogenic or vacuum systems is an asset.

Assignment And Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to temporarily relocate to Burnaby, British Columbia, for a required short-term international training assignment lasting up to 180 days.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain authorization to work in Canada for the duration of the assignment.
  • Eligible costs associated with the required international assignment and training period will be covered by the employer.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
  • Ability to travel to customer and company sites across North America and Europe.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Work Environment:

  • Initial on-site work in Burnaby, British Columbia, followed by permanent on-site work in Boca Raton, Florida.
  • Frequent hands-on work with cryogenic fluids, vacuum systems, instrumentation, and laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Routine use of personal protective equipment and compliance with laboratory safety procedures.
  • Occasional irregular or after-hours work may be required during cooldowns and other time-sensitive operations.

Compensation And Benefits:

  • Base pay range: $76,000 to $104,000 USD per year.
  • Eligible costs for the required short-term international training assignment will be covered.
  • Total rewards may include base pay, equity, bonus, perks, benefits, and other offerings;
  • Final compensation is determined based on the candidate's proficiencies within the role level.

Security And Export Controls:
