Senior Solutions Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Solutions Engineer. Location: Sydney, Australia

Responsibilities:

• Participate in all stages of customer engagement, including meetings, identifying needs, delivering solution demonstrations, and providing ongoing support
• Research and implement innovative quantum computing solutions for real-world applications using Q-CTRL’s product suite
• Support the integration of new solution features into quantum infrastructure software
• Write project progress and outcome reports in clear and technically accurate language;
• Collaborate with colleagues across Quantum Research, Sales, Product, Engineering, and external partners
• Lead critical deliverables in customer or project delivery and take initiative in technical and strategic decisions

Qualifications:

• PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline OR at least 3 years of industry experience or relevant research experience;
• Strong understanding of near-term quantum algorithms and experience tailoring algorithm components for resource efficiency or hardware implementation

Preferred:

• Experience implementing quantum computing solutions in industries such as finance, transport, logistics, quantum chemistry, quantum simulations, or drug discovery
• Experience deploying algorithms on quantum hardware and familiarity with Qiskit;
• Knowledge of classical optimization methods, quantum chemistry, quantum machine learning, or quantum simulations
