Sr. PIC Product Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Sr PIC Product Engineer. Location: Palo Alto, California, United States

Responsibilities:

• Ensure silicon photonic circuits meet performance requirements at subassembly and system levels
• Collaborate with design, test, system, and manufacturing teams to define performance metrics and calibration methods
• Perform statistical data analysis to evaluate and improve hardware performance;
• Support failure analysis, quality evaluation, and testing of development and pilot units
• Drive PIC specifications and improvements during product ramp and scaling phases

Qualifications:

• MS with 5+ years’ experience or PhD with 3+ years’ experience in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or Physics
• Experience in photonic integration and manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of active and passive silicon photonics and device fabrication
• Understanding of photonic testing methods;
• Strong data analysis and communication skills
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams

Preferred:

• Background in optics, materials science, electromagnetics, and nanofabrication
• Experience working with semiconductor manufacturing processes;
• Ability to analyze complex system-level performance and improve hardware reliability

Benefits and Compensation:

• Base salary range: $160,000 – $180,000 (U.S.), $183,000 – $200,000 (Bay Area)
