Job Description
Job Title: Sr PIC Product Engineer. Location: Palo Alto, California, United States
Responsibilities:
- Ensure silicon photonic circuits meet performance requirements at subassembly and system levels
- Collaborate with design, test, system, and manufacturing teams to define performance metrics and calibration methods
- Perform statistical data analysis to evaluate and improve hardware performance;
- Support failure analysis, quality evaluation, and testing of development and pilot units
- Drive PIC specifications and improvements during product ramp and scaling phases
Qualifications:
- MS with 5+ years’ experience or PhD with 3+ years’ experience in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or Physics
- Experience in photonic integration and manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of active and passive silicon photonics and device fabrication
- Understanding of photonic testing methods;
- Strong data analysis and communication skills
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
Preferred:
- Background in optics, materials science, electromagnetics, and nanofabrication
- Experience working with semiconductor manufacturing processes;
- Ability to analyze complex system-level performance and improve hardware reliability
Benefits and Compensation:
- Base salary range: $160,000 – $180,000 (U.S.), $183,000 – $200,000 (Bay Area)
