Job Description

Job Title: Staff Cybersecurity Analyst. Location:

• Canada or USA
• Remote, Hybrid, or On-site

Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise-wide detection and response capabilities using SIEM, XRD, and Threat Intelligence platforms.
• Develop and enhance threat detection rules through scripting and platform configuration.
• Evaluate and improve identity and access management security.
• Evaluate and improve endpoint security in collaboration with end-user support teams.
• Conduct risk evaluations of applications and SaaS providers;
• Evaluate and improve the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) platform.
• Evaluate and improve network security in collaboration with technology teams.
• Evaluate and improve cloud security in collaboration with technology teams.
• Lead or support incident response activations for cybersecurity events.
• Conduct employee security awareness training to improve the organization's security posture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, preferably with global responsibility;
• Industry security certifications are preferred but not required.
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience operating Microsoft 365 security capabilities to protect enterprise organizations.
• Experience leading and conducting incident response teams during technical security events.
• Experience using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions to monitor and respond to incidents.
• Experience providing ad-hoc security education during employee interactions.
• Experience troubleshooting endpoints and identities to identify and resolve security issues.
• Experience conducting application and SaaS risk evaluations and providing compensating controls and recommendations.
• Strong defensive security mindset.

Benefits and Compensation:

• Canada: CAD 103,000 to CAD 141,000 per year.
• Remote United States: USD 118,000 to USD 162,000 per year;
• Total rewards include base pay, equity, bonus, perks, benefits, and other rewards.
