Job Description

Job Title: Intern, Optical Packaging Process. Location: Milpitas, California, United States

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting, editing, and formatting SOPs and work instructions
  • Organize and maintain process documentation and version control systems
  • Support engineers in summarizing design of experiments (DOE) results
  • Prepare data summaries, tables, and basic visualizations;
  • Assist in executing simple laboratory experiments under supervision
  • Record experimental results accurately and maintain lab notebooks
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of documentation and workflow processes

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
  • Prior lab or internship experience is optional but beneficial

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with photonic systems or semiconductor manufacturing processes
  • Basic understanding of experimental data handling
  • Interest in quantum hardware development and optical packaging

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Hourly pay range depending on education level ($27.50 to $47.00 per hour)
  • Housing or commuter stipend (varies by residency location)

  • Hands-on experience in industry-level quantum hardware workflows
