Job Description

Job Title: Research Scientist (Cryogenic Test). Location: Yorktown Heights, New York, USA

Job Type:

• Full-time, hybrid

• General daytime shift
• Travel: up to 20% or 1 day per week

Responsibilities:

• Conduct advanced research in quantum computing, including gates, coherence, device design, simulation, testing, tuning, photonics/interconversion, Josephson electronics, and device theory.
• Design and simulate quantum devices using knowledge of photonics, interconversion, and Josephson electronics.
• Develop and implement testing protocols to evaluate and improve quantum device performance.
• Conduct research into superconducting qubits and quantum device technology;
• Apply theoretical knowledge to analyze experimental results and guide future research.
• Collaborate with scientists and colleagues to solve complex quantum device technology challenges.
• Contribute to research that advances practical and large-scale quantum computing.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with relevant experience in materials science and superconducting qubits.
• Proven record of research accomplishment.
• Familiarity with Python or an equivalent programming language.

Preferred;

• Doctorate degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience with quantum technologies and fabrication/process knowledge.
• Deep expertise across multiple areas of quantum computing, including device design, simulation, testing, tuning, Josephson electronics, and device theory.
• Experience in materials science and superconducting qubit technology.

• Projected annual salary range of $150,000 to $220,000.
