Job Description
Job Title: Senior Research Scientist, Superconducting Qubit Measurement, Quantum AI. Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA
Responsibilities:
- Perform millikelvin measurements of superconducting qubits and superconducting circuits for quantum computing.
- Calibrate qubit gates, readout systems, and flux pulses using room-temperature and cryogenic control electronics.
- Build and maintain software for controlling superconducting circuits and analyzing measurement data.
- Design new control methods for qubit calibration and integration with superconducting control electronics.
- Collaborate with qubit designers, fabrication engineers, and measurement teams to improve device performance, reduce crosstalk, and increase gate fidelity.
- Validate integrated quantum processors through testing and measurement.
- Publish high-quality research papers and present results at leading scientific conferences.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of research or industry experience.
- Experience measuring superconducting qubits or superconducting digital logic circuits.
- Strong programming experience with Python.
- At least one published research paper and one presentation at a relevant scientific conference.
Preferred:
- 7 years of research or industry experience in measurement, design, or simulation of superconducting qubits or superconducting digital logic.
- 3 years of experience leading research projects.
- Experience with dilution refrigerators or microwave engineering.
- Experience calibrating superconducting qubit gates and implementing precise qubit control.
- Experience using Python to interface with control electronics, execute measurements, and analyze experimental data.

- Annual salary of $174,000 to $253,000.
