Job Title: Senior Quantum Measurement Engineer

- Travel: Less than 25%
Responsibilities:
- Develop and automate qubit experiments and calibration routines to enable robust, repeatable, and scalable qubit operation.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate quantum measurements.
- Apply machine learning and AI methods where appropriate to improve measurement throughput and reproducibility.
- Guide collaboration across Quantum teams and help teams share and reuse technical work effectively;
- Document work and make relevant information available internally and externally to the team.
- Communicate results, insights, and recommendations clearly to multidisciplinary audiences to support data-driven decisions.
- Maintain safety, security, and compliance with applicable policies.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Physics, Engineering, or a related field plus industry or R&D experience, including potentially postdoctoral research.
- Or Master's degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field plus solid industry or R&D experience;
- Or Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field plus significant industry or R&D experience.
- Equivalent industry experience may also qualify.
- Experience with low-noise electronic measurements, including lock-in amplifiers and analog pre-amplifiers.
- Experience with cryogenic techniques, including He3 cryostats or dilution refrigerators.
- Experience with electrical transport characterization for semiconductors, dielectrics, or superconductors.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements;
- Ability to meet applicable export-control requirements and provide citizenship or permanent residency documentation where required.
- Ability to use AI tools for performance modeling, analysis, research, and task automation.
- Ability to design and build AI agents or copilots for experiment setup, log triage, measurement report generation, protocol templating, and knowledge retrieval.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physics, Engineering, or a related field with the corresponding level of industry or R&D experience.
- Solid experience with RF reflectometry measurements and time-domain control of qubits.
- Experience using AI/ML tools to accelerate qubit bring-up and tuning.
- Experience building automated, production-quality data and analysis pipelines.
- Experience developing code in a version-controlled environment such as Git or SVN.
- Experience with the physics of Majorana bound states and topological properties of matter.
Benefits and Compensation:
- Netherlands base pay range: €78,800 to €133,300 per year.
- Denmark base pay range: DKK 715,600 to DKK 1,201,100 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation.
- The position is open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
Other Information:
