Senior Quantum Systems Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Quantum Systems Engineer - Quantum Computing. Location: Remote (UK / Switzerland)

Responsibilities:

• Define system requirements for fault-tolerant quantum computing across hardware, software, and firmware
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to build scalable quantum computing systems
• Develop real-time quantum error correction and calibration methods;
• Translate product needs into detailed technical system requirements
• Design and review test cases for quantum system validation and correctness
• Work across global teams to improve quantum system performance and reliability
• Contribute to a culture of innovation and rapid engineering iteration

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in complex hardware and software system engineering
• Hands-on experience with quantum control systems and real qubit operations;
• Strong understanding of system-level engineering and quantum technologies
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams

Preferred:

• Experience with quantum control system design and quantum networking concepts
• Experience with real-time systems and embedded software development
• Knowledge of quantum computer benchmarking methods
• Experience applying AI and ML techniques in engineering workflows
• Experience with CUDA and NVIDIA GPU-based systems
