Job Description

Job Title: Software Engineer, Quality Assurance. Job Location: Cambridge, United Kingdom

This role offers the chance to work at the front line of quantum software innovation; The company is developing advanced tools for the next generation of quantum computing, and you will play a key role in improving the quality and reliability of these systems.

Duties:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests in Python using frameworks like pytest.
• Create and manage end-to-end (E2E) tests using tools such as Cypress or Playwright.
• Build and improve QA processes and quality standards across the product lifecycle;
• Test APIs, SDKs, and microservices, ensuring consistent performance and reliability.
• Work closely with the software development team to review code and share feedback;
• Use version control, bug tracking, and debugging tools to manage software quality.
• Take part in the full software development cycle from design to deployment.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree (2:1 or above) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience developing automated tests in Python and using testing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience creating E2E tests in Cypress or Playwright;
• Solid understanding of the full software life cycle and version control systems.
• Proven ability to collaborate within a team environment and communicate technical ideas.

Preferred:

• Experience working with quantum software frameworks such as Qiskit, Braket, or similar.
• Familiarity with API and SDK testing, as well as performance testing.
• Understanding of microservices in dockerized setups;
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
