System Reliability Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: System Reliability Engineer. Location: Cambridge, UK

When incidents or outages occur, the engineer will report, diagnose, and help resolve issues quickly by analyzing live production code & system behavior; They will collaborate closely with the software development team to maintain reliability across the Quantinuum Nexus platform.

Duties:

  • Managing and maintaining Kubernetes and Docker environments for the Quantinuum Nexus platform.
  • Collecting and analyzing logs, metrics, and traces using OpenTelemetry and AWS tools to detect performance issues.
  • Implementing and improving Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform;
  • Supporting continuous deployment and ensuring high uptime for cloud-based systems;
  • Working with developers to locate bugs and optimize performance and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience using AWS services such as CloudWatch, X-Ray, and related tools.
  • Knowledge of Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code frameworks;
  • Experience with distributed systems, monitoring, and debugging production environments.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL and continuous deployment workflows is a plus.
