Job Description
Job Title: Senior Technical Project Manager, Software. Location: Oxford, England, United Kingdom
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage delivery of key functionality for the Quantum Operating System software stack.
- Work closely with cross functional teams across software, systems integration, and engineering.
- Align software deliverables with overall business goals and multi product timelines;
- Provide strategic leadership in project planning, risk management, and resource allocation.
- Identify risks early, create mitigation plans, and ensure projects are properly resourced.
- Verify architecture, design, and test plans to meet deadlines and quality standards.;
- Manage timelines, budgets, and reporting for stakeholders.
- Remove obstacles, assign tasks, and ensure smooth execution of critical technical projects.
- Communicate project status clearly, including risks and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in deep tech sectors such as quantum computing, robotics, aerospace, or similar.
- Experience managing complex software projects in high performing technical teams.
- Ability to lead cross functional teams in fast paced environments;
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non technical stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Degree in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Project management certification.
- Working knowledge of quantum computing principles and technologies;
- Experience with tools such as GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or SmartSheet.
