Job Description

Job Title: Student Researcher, 2026. Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Job Type: Internship / Student Research Program

Responsibilities:

• Participate in research focused on solving real-world, large-scale problems
• Contribute to experimental and exploratory projects across AI, ML, and scientific computing domains
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers across multiple Google research teams;
• Support development of algorithms, models, and systems for next-generation intelligent applications
• Work on research directions spanning AI systems, optimization, and computational science

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Natural Sciences, or related fields
• Experience in at least one computer science area such as machine learning, NLP, computer vision, optimization, or data science
• Strong programming experience in Python, Java, JavaScript, or C/C++;
• Must be enrolled in a full-time program and returning after internship completion

Preferred:

• Experience contributing to research communities, including publications in conferences or journals
• Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, or algorithmic optimization
• Experience with interdisciplinary research or applied AI systems
