Job Description

Job title: Student Researcher, 2027. Location: Tel Aviv, Israel; Haifa, Israel

Job type: Internship, with part-time or full-time opportunities depending on project requirements

Responsibilities:

• Participate in research projects focused on solving real-world, large-scale problems.

• Collaborate with researchers and other team members to explore innovative research challenges.

• Contribute to scientific advancement and the development of new technologies.

• Work on projects across research teams, potentially including Google DeepMind, Google Research, and Google Cloud.

• Contribute to research and engineering initiatives involving areas such as machine learning, quantum information science, algorithmic optimization, computer vision, and data science.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Natural Sciences, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience in Israel.

• Experience in at least one computer science area, such as Natural Language Understanding, Human Computer Interaction, Generative Media, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, Quantum Information Science, Data Science, or Software Engineering.

• Must have valid work authorization or meet local immigration eligibility requirements for the chosen location.

• Must maintain student status and remain physically located in Israel throughout the engagement.

Preferred:

• Enrolled in a full-time degree program in the EMEA region and returning to the program after the engagement.

• Research experience through internships, full-time roles, or laboratory work.

• Contributions to research communities, including papers published in major conferences or journals.

• Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as C/C++, Java, MATLAB, Go, or Python.
