Job Description

Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer (Systems Definition). Location: United States

Responsibilities:

• Translate high-level system concepts into clear, measurable, and verifiable engineering requirements.
• Flow system requirements through appropriate subsystem decomposition.
• Define and maintain processes for documenting, tracking, and managing requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Establish best practices for documenting and maintaining system architecture and configuration.
• Identify and implement tools that improve engineering workflows and documentation.
• Develop standardized methods for documenting interfaces between hardware, firmware, and software components.
• Train and mentor engineering teams on systems engineering methods, tools, and best practices.
• Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to support complex product development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of systems engineering experience;
• Experience documenting requirements, architecture, and interfaces for complex systems involving hardware, firmware, and software.
• Knowledge of industry-standard systems engineering tools and methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Preferred:

• Experience working with quantum systems.
• Experience using requirements management software.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research and development environment.
