Job Description

Job Title: Data Platform Software Engineer. Location: Palo Alto, California, United States

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines for ETL workflows across photonic circuits and quantum hardware systems
• Integrate data from APIs, databases, simulation tools, lab systems, and manufacturing environments
• Process and structure complex datasets including netlists, waveform data, logs, and yield reports
• Ensure data quality, observability, versioning, and traceability across the development lifecycle;
• Collaborate with circuit designers, EDA engineers, verification teams, and manufacturing engineers
• Build infrastructure supporting yield analysis, failure analysis, and design optimization
• Optimize performance of large-scale simulation and manufacturing data systems
• Develop automation tools to reduce manual data handling and improve engineering efficiency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in production-grade data pipelines or data platforms
• Strong experience with Python and SQL-like data workflows (SQL implied but not explicitly listed)
• Experience in semiconductor, ASIC/SoC, or photonics environments;
• Familiarity with HPC or high-throughput computing systems
• Strong understanding of software engineering practices including CI/CD, testing, and version control

Benefits and Compensation:

• Base salary range: $140,000 to $150,000 (standard US range)
• Bay Area salary range: $150,000 to $165,000
