Job Title: High Speed Circuit Designer, Quantum AI. Location: Goleta, California, USA

Responsibilities:

• Support the deployment and operation of electronics across Google's fleet of quantum computers.
• Design quantum control and measurement systems for next-generation quantum computers, from architecture through implementation and deployment.
• Use RF, analog, and mixed-signal expertise to develop high-performance board-level designs;
• Drive complex board-level projects from development through completion while collaborating with engineering teams.
• Work with ASIC designers to develop system-level architectures that improve system density and performance.
• Document designs, measurement results, and technical work.
• Present results and technical information to relevant stakeholders.
• Support team members using the designed equipment as they integrate it into larger quantum computing systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in analog, digital, or mixed-signal design.
• 3 years of experience designing PCBs containing GHz-rate data converters, FPGAs, or processors.

Preferred:

• Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience across multiple electrical engineering disciplines, such as FPGA, analog/mixed-signal, and RF, at the board and potentially chip level.
• Experience taking designs from specification discovery through system deployment.
• Experience leading development projects and successfully deploying systems;
• Experience with vendor management.
• Experience with packaging and signal integrity/power integrity (SI/PI) tools.
• Understanding of board-level design practices across analog/mixed-signal, RF, FPGA, and related disciplines.
• Familiarity with relevant electrical engineering design tools.

Benefits and Compensation:

• Annual salary: $159,000 to $230,000 USD.
• 15% target bonus.
