Nanofabrication Technician

Job Description

Job Title: Nanofabrication Technician. Location: California, USA

Responsibilities:

• Operate a variety of nanofabrication equipment, including deposition systems, lithography tools, etching systems, and characterization tools
• Execute fabrication processes following detailed procedures and protocols
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to develop and optimize new processes
• Maintain meticulous records of process parameters, equipment performance, and experimental results
• Adhere to strict cleanroom protocols and safety guidelines;
• Work across multiple locations within the Greater Los Angeles area as needed

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent technical training in a related field
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in nanofabrication
• Broad knowledge of nanofabrication processes, including thin film deposition, wet processing, lithography, etching, and characterization
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records
• Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
• Flexibility to work in a cleanroom environment on a 40-hour work week

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related field
• Experience working in a shared-use facility such as a university cleanroom
• Familiarity with atomic layer deposition, electron beam lithography, deep reactive ion etching
• Experience with photonics or optical measurements;
• Knowledge of statistical process control and data analysis
