Job Description

Job Title: Principal Engineering Manager. Location: Redmond, Washington, USA

Job Type: Full-time (Hybrid, 3 days per week in office)

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team while developing future technical leaders and managers.
• Define the technical strategy and product direction for secure identity and authentication platforms.
• Deliver secure systems that support modern authentication, AI agents, and post-quantum security initiatives.
• Establish engineering practices for designing, testing, and deploying reliable, explainable, and reversible AI solutions.
• Promote a culture focused on security, reliability, operational excellence, and engineering quality;
• Collaborate with leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps and technical priorities.
• Represent the team's work to executives and incorporate customer feedback into future planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of software engineering experience using languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to meet Microsoft security screening and Cloud Background Check requirements.

Preferred:

• At least 3 years of engineering management experience.
• Experience with identity platforms, security systems, or large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience leading technical strategy and delivering enterprise-scale security solutions.

Benefits And Compensation:

• Annual base salary of USD $142,800 - $274,800 for most U.S. locations.
• Annual base salary of USD $188,000 - $304,200 for the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City.
• Eligible roles may receive additional compensation and employee benefits.

Other Information:

• Hybrid work schedule with three in-office days per week.
• Less than 25% travel required;
