Quantum Advanced Packaging Engineer

Job Title: Quantum Advanced Packaging Engineer. Location: Delft, Netherlands

Responsibilities:

• Lead R&D from early concept through prototyping to manufacturable packaging processes
• Develop advanced quantum chip packaging and assembly techniques for scalable quantum systems
• Contribute hands-on to fabrication methods, assembly tools, and process optimization
• Collaborate with external partners and vendors to integrate outsourced technologies;
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and align development priorities with company goals
• Build scalable engineering processes in a fast-moving R&D environment
• Foster innovation, technical excellence, and accountability across teams

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher in physics, electronics, materials science, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in hardware R&D or semiconductor packaging development
• Experience delivering solutions to complex hardware engineering challenges

Preferred:

• Experience in semiconductor processing and chip integration
• Knowledge of flip-chip and advanced packaging techniques;
• Familiarity with thermal management, mechanical stress, and reliability modeling
• Experience with simulation tools for packaging and hardware systems
• Strong background in semiconductor device engineering

Leadership Skills:

• Proven experience leading R&D projects in hardware or related fields
• Strong communication skills to manage complex technical challenges under uncertainty
• Ability to build structured and scalable development processes
• Experience mentoring and developing engineering talent;
• Strong collaboration skills across engineering and business teams
• Ability to handle conflict resolution and team coordination
