Job Description
Job Title: Research Scientist, Experimental Quantum Error Correction, Quantum AI. Location: Goleta, California, USA
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute experiments to identify physical error mechanisms affecting quantum error correction algorithms
- Develop data analysis tools to process large, high-dimensional quantum error correction datasets
- Collaborate with qubit design teams to integrate technologies that reduce hardware errors;
- Work with modeling and theory teams to design predictive experiments and validate results
- Publish research findings and contribute to the broader quantum computing research community
- Manage research projects, experimental timelines, and technical deliverables
Qualifications:
- PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience using Python for data acquisition and analysis
- At least one scientific publication submitted to conferences, journals, or public repositories
- Experience with control and characterization of quantum devices;
- Experience conducting quantum error correction experiments
- Strong research and scientific communication skills
