Senior Electronic Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Electronic Engineer. Location: Geneva, Switzerland

Responsibilities:

  • Own the design and verification of analog, mixed-signal, and RF/high-speed electronic subsystems from architecture through schematic, PCB design, bring-up, and industrialisation.
  • Develop complex electronic hardware including low-noise amplifiers, high-speed and RF signal conditioning, opto-electronic component drivers, A/D conversion, and optimized power-supply blocks;
  • Design high-performance, low-noise mixed-signal PCBs using robust partitioning, grounding, shielding, and layout techniques.
  • Preserve signal integrity and minimize unwanted coupling across electronic systems.
  • Define and review block specifications with system, optical, and firmware engineers.
  • Lead technical trade-offs involving noise, bandwidth, timing, and electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Plan and execute laboratory bring-up and verification using structured testing and data-driven analysis.
  • Verify compliance with requirements and reliability targets;
  • Coordinate and technically guide subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Improve the team's design processes, documentation, and review practices.
  • Act as the analog and RF technical reference within R&D.
  • Lead cross-team specifications, design reviews, and supplier execution to deliver production-ready hardware.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Opto-electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience designing complex, high-performance hardware modules.
  • Strong expertise in analog and mixed-signal design, including low-noise, precision, and high-speed electronics.
  • Strong RF fundamentals, including impedance matching, transmission lines, and filtering;
  • Experience applying signal-integrity and power-integrity best practices to high-performance, low-noise PCBs.
  • Experience creating and reviewing schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
  • Experience with simulation and modeling tools such as LTspice.
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Experience validating hardware performance in a laboratory environment;
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical results and recommendations.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • French is an advantage.

Preferred:

  • Senior-level analog and RF/high-speed hardware expertise.
  • Proven experience taking industrial-grade electronics from prototype through product release.
  • Experience with sensitive opto-electronic systems where noise, timing, jitter, and bandwidth are critical.
  • Ability to balance technical performance with manufacturability and testability;
  • Experience taking ownership of technical decisions and mentoring other engineers.
  • Ability to establish rigorous design and review processes for rapid product integration.

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Compensation varies based on education, qualifications, experience, office location, market data, and internal team equity.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans.
