Technical Lead Manager, Product Software

Job Description

Job Title: Technical Lead Manager, Product Software, Quantum AI. Location: Seattle, Washington, Goleta, California, USA

Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering teams building software products for quantum computing systems
• Define technical strategy, roadmaps, and long-term product direction
• Design and develop APIs, web interfaces, command-line tools, and client libraries for quantum hardware systems
• Scope technical challenges and recommend solutions for short-term and long-term business needs
• Drive large-scale software projects from design through deployment;
• Write and review code to ensure quality, performance, scalability, and best practices
• Improve data preparation, optimization, and system performance
• Gather and incorporate feedback to improve existing systems or develop new solutions
• Create and maintain technical documentation and educational resources;
• Collaborate closely with research scientists, hardware engineers, electronics engineers, product teams, and software teams
• Manage engineers across multiple teams and locations while supporting team growth and execution

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years of software development experience with a focus on distributed computing
• 3 years of technical leadership experience guiding engineers in designing and implementing client-side tools or APIs
• 2 years of people management or team leadership experience;
• Experience with client-side development, including client libraries, command-line tools, or web interfaces

Preferred:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform technologies such as Compute Engine or Cloud Spanner
• Experience with Kubernetes and Google Distributed Cloud
• Experience designing gRPC APIs;
• Experience designing and maintaining web UIs, libraries, and CLI tools
• Familiarity with quantum computing technologies and applications

Benefits And Compensation:

• Base salary: $207,000 - $301,000 per year
• 20% target bonus
