Cryogenic Assembly Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Cryogenic Assembly Engineer. Location: Poughkeepsie, New York, United States

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical assembly using drawings, bills of materials, and technical procedures
• Use hand tools for installation and maintenance of cryogenic systems
• Support operation and maintenance of cryogenic equipment and high-vacuum systems
• Install devices, wiring, and components in cryogenic environments;
• Assemble electronic and microwave systems supporting quantum hardware
• Contribute to mechanical design using computer-aided design tools

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in engineering or related field;
• Experience with mechanical assembly and technical documentation
• Experience operating cryogenic or high-vacuum systems

Preferred:

• Experience with dilution refrigerators and low-temperature systems
• Experience installing and wiring components in cryogenic environments
• Ability to read process flow and instrumentation diagrams
• Experience assembling microwave or electronic systems
• Experience with CAD for mechanical design and assemblies

Benefits and Compensation:

• Salary range: $85,000 to $147,000 per year
