Electronic Production Assembler

Job Description

Job Title: Electronic Production Assembler III. Location: Burnaby, Canada

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
• Assemble electro-mechanical subassemblies and cable assemblies with high precision
• Perform manual SMT soldering on PCBs, including fine-pitch components under microscopes
• Integrate electrical components following manufacturing documentation and BOM structures
• Conduct microcircuit assembly and use crimping tools for cable and wiring systems;
• Install, align, and adjust components for assemblies and subassemblies
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and suggest improvements in design and processes
• Maintain production logs, work orders, and inventory tracking of components;
• Follow strict safety protocols and maintain tools and lab equipment
• Support general lab maintenance and production environment operations

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary technical diploma or equivalent experience
• 4+ years experience in electro-mechanical assembly
• Strong hands-on experience in SMT soldering and PCB rework under microscopes
• Familiarity with multi-level BOM and electronic assembly documentation;
• Experience using tools such as microscopes, multimeters, heat guns, and soldering stations
• Ability to handle small and delicate electronic components with precision
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills;
• Ability to work independently in a production environment
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs

Preferred:

• Experience with pressure fittings, valves, or HVAC systems
• Exposure to advanced hardware manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems used in quantum or high-tech industries
