Job Title: Quantum Characterization Engineer. Location: Yorktown Heights, New York, USA

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test quantum hardware solutions using quantum engineering, microfabrication, and packaging technologies.
• Apply expertise in microwave circuit engineering, mechanical and thermal engineering, quantum control, and classical electronics.
• Optimize system architectures, integration, and testing, including microwave and semiconductor device testing.
• Contribute to chip design, chip layout, and modeling;
• Support EDA tool development.
• Perform yield engineering analytics, electrical testing, and wafer-scale characterization.
• Use electrical probing and test equipment for hardware evaluation.
• Conduct defect analysis and data systems integration.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects and programs;

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• Doctorate degree preferred.
• Familiarity with designing, developing, and testing quantum hardware.
• Knowledge of quantum engineering principles and methodologies.
• Familiarity with yield engineering analytics, electrical testing, and wafer-scale characterization.
• Exposure to microwave testing and semiconductor device testing;
• Understanding of testing principles and methodologies for quantum hardware development.
• Familiarity with mechanical and thermal engineering principles related to quantum hardware.
• Experience with cross-functional project or program management is preferred.

Benefits and Compensation:

• Salary range of $120,000 to $180,000 per year.

Other Information:

• Onsite position with travel of up to 20% or approximately 1 day per week.
• General daytime shift.
• The role is not commissionable or sales incentive based.
