Junior Recruiter, R&D

Job Description

Job Title: Junior Recruiter, R&D. Location: Berkeley, CA or Fremont, CA, USA

Responsibilities:

  • Manage interview scheduling for technical roles across candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters
  • Maintain accurate records in the ATS system and support job postings, communications, and offer coordination
  • Ensure a strong candidate experience through timely communication and process execution;
  • Support and gradually own university recruiting programs, including internships and entry-level hiring
  • Assist with career fairs, campus visits, conferences, and virtual recruiting events, including travel
  • Manage recruiting materials such as presentations, branded content, and event supplies
  • Track and report recruiting metrics like pipeline health and conversion rates
  • Collaborate with hiring teams on headcount planning and hiring priorities;
  • Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and recruiting tools
  • Support special projects like ATS cleanup, integrations, and reporting enhancements

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in recruiting, coordination, or talent operations
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems such as Lever, Greenhouse, or Workday
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle high-volume tasks
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work with technical teams in engineering, research, or manufacturing
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability
  • Interest in quantum computing, engineering, or advanced technology environments

Preferred:

  • Background or familiarity with physics, engineering, materials science, or computer science
  • Experience recruiting for technical or research roles
  • Experience supporting internship or early-career hiring programs
  • Experience coordinating across multiple time zones;
  • Experience in startups, scale-ups, or research-driven environments
